it seems he has a hole in his tiny little heart. It isnt big and the Dr is saying at this point not a major concern.

but any time a parent hears the words Defect and Heart in the same sentance it just scares you to death.

we have been humbled by the outpouring of love from this AFF family and Melissa and I are so very grateful for the prayer and concern for our little boy.

It seems we find one more thing to stack up on our shoulders as every day passes. But we know a loving God and we know how to pray. and we have so many wonderful friends in our church, here on AFF and family that know how to touch God. I cannot tell you the weight that is lifted when we talk about how many people are praying for us. we have leaned on those prayers.

We are blessed. Thank you all so very much.

I haven't been on the Forum as much lately and just saw this additional prayer request. Been praying all along, but will also continue.

Since this has been bumped...

Jack is doing good. The hole in his heart is still there but we have talked to the Drs and they are less concerned than Melissa and I are. Anytime a Doctor uses the words "heart" and "defect" when talking about your baby, it sends you into a tailspin.

they seem to feel strongly that this will close on its own. Just pray with us that it does!


he seems to be doing better with learning to suck. as soon as he can take all his bottles he can come home!

there is no date certain. he can come home when he can eat. right now he is being fed by a tube thru his nose to his stomach.

once he learns to take a bottle and is able to take all his feedings by bottle he can go home.
