It's totally ok! The terms "rank sinner", "Hopeless Reprobate" and "big fat backslider" are also acceptable.

Hell never was something that was a motivator to me to hit the altar...in fact if I sensed that they were using it just to get that response I would become even more non reactive.But yeah...even when I felt totally backslid the thought of someone ELSE going would make me reach out even in a backslidden state to let them know God loves them.Funny thing was the act of reaching out would make me want to pray back through.

Sister Alvears posts kind of motivate me like that Rico. As does my pastor. Humble, loving people motivate me to want to reach out to others with the message of salvation.

I don't know if you have heard of David Wilkerson or not, but he was an outreach minister in New York, mainly to drug addicts. He was inspiring like that to me.
We do have lost souls in the United States, in our cities in our little towns. And for some in our own families.
That should motivate us.

Yes, I have heard of David Wilkerson. Unless my memory is failing me, I saw a movie about him when I was around 13 years old.

I looked it and the name of that movie was The Cross and the Switchblade. What I didn't know is that DW is from Hammond, IN, not too far from where I was born.
