I can only answer that for my life. I'm not going to buy a cheap watch. If I'm going to buy one I want a good, serviceable watch. I normally have always had a Citizen. That's always been a good, reliable brand for me. My daughter is partial to the Fossil watches.

Ring? I don't know what I would need one for. To prove I was married? If I wanted to commit adultery I would do it with or without a ring. So, a ring would be moot at that point. It's where my heart is.

Any other jewelry for me, as I said, would not be a necessity. I don't like untangling my hair from the back of earring posts or a necklace, so I don't care if I have that or not.

I just know that when I am in His presence I don't care about any thing else, save what He wants me to do.

Girl, I know that ain't right. We've had our share of financial strain and I was living as right as I could live. But, I get your point. It's like the - "Oh, what did they do or what are they doing that caused this in their life?" lol

It can be subjective-true.

However, on OP, or even Mods end, the whole line is thrown out the window.
OK I was recently called stupid on another thread and I must be, I didn't follow you on the last sentence.

Re: Folks COMMANDED to Remove Ornaments.

I dont wear jewlery. I dont even own a watch.

because if I did, i would lose them anyway so not having any saves me the cost of replacement.

I think I spelled lose right.

Okay, there were some standards at one time (I ain't meaning UC'S either) & when you talk to (libs) everything is okay.

I don't see it that way.

There are lines that have been shifting.

We have a more conservative Pastor in our district & he and his wife dress very conservatively.
He says that he and his wife get compliments on thier dress & standard from people in the world.

Vary Gud Spuling Ferd.

You don't need a watch, you have a new born, they take a lot of your time up.

BTW how are Jack & the family doing?

I guess what used to be is not so important to me. I am not trying to justify anything, but I also am not going to tell someone they can't wear jewelry based on a tradition. There are a lot of things I don't do, some because I don't want to, some because they are wrong.

family is doing well. Jack is getting bigger. he is still having brady's (that means his heart rate drops too low. ) he cant come home for 7 days after having a brady..... which means the clock keeps resetting.

that isnt that big of a deal right now because there are other things he has to do before he has to come home, but this is the most unsetteling. Not really life threatening but unsetteling none the less....

and yea, my spelling is terrible.
