I correctly stated it was the national anthem rather than the pledge, real patriots salute the flag during the national anthem.
When the national anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note. The salute is directed to the flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.
Seems to me every American ought to be aware of this especially if he plans on running for president.

A chain e-mail says a photograph shows Barack Obama is unpatriotic because he "refused" to say the Pledge of Allegiance and did not put his hand over his heart. But the photo was taken during the national anthem, not the Pledge.
And yes Mrs. Obama did try to spin her comments after the uproar.
I don't salute the flag, say the pledge, or sing that dumb song. Guess that makes me evil, huh?

But very recently we did indeed attack Pakistan because anti-Afghan forces attacked us and fled into Pakistan. 11 Pakistani soldiers were killed. We carried out this operation without the approval of the Pakistani govt, our ally. Truth be told, there are al quaeda targets in Pakistan and they sould be addressed militarily, by them or us. Obama is willing to do that.

You made a key statement earlier in jest when you said "and since I don't like him anyway". You have clearly made your mind up and this was never an issue for you no matter who the Democrat was. My point is that there are millions of people out there who are actually looking for info to make a decision. That is what is happening with a lot of young and undecided people. I have been saying from day one that turning mole hills into mountains are detremental because nobody will be talking about the actual mountains....or when you do talk about the mountains, noone will care to listen.

I watched him being groomed for this position a very long time ago, and if anyone here remembers -- I posted that on NFCF. I have been watching him since and drew my conclusions then.
The racist thing is coming more from them than anyone, IMO.
Here we are as a country being moved by his oratory skills and he has nothing of substance and change to offer. I am amazed. Well, not really. Our Hollywood generation prepared the way for him.

You were correct, but how many times have you seen civilian folks at games or in public places that have not placed their hand over their heart during the national anthem?
This, to me, does not prove that he is unpatriotic.

there is a bit of a difference between continued pursuit of an enemy into Pakistan and and a cross boarder raid.
there is also quite a bit of a difference between doing something that needs to be done, and bringing public attention to such an act. what obama did was stupid. even if the president feels the need to take such an action, you NEVER make public comment beforehand!
it was unwise and unnessary and further proof that Obama should not be president.

I am just confused by all of the hyperbole and sidetracks. It weakens the arguments against him when people think that mountains are made out of molehills. I would rather hear about the real mountains
