lets be clear about something.

when an ordinary individual doesnt salute the flag at a ball game it is shows a certain disrepect for America but we live in a land of real freedom where many of us have fought to preserve the rights of freedom that include behaving boarishly.

but when a politician does not salute the flag it is a public statement. It is a direct comment on their feelings about the subject of pratriotism in general.

Barak does not get to simply "be like everyone else" Barak is interviewing for the most important job on the face of the earth.

he gets no mulligans. He gets no do-overs. he made the statement when he did not salute the flag. It was a statement compounded by his unwillingness to not wear the flag lapel pin. it is a statement at the heart of the brand of liberalism he follows.

It is a brand that believes that "Americana" itself is at the heart of all the evil in the world.

That is HIS WORLD VIEW.

and remember he is interviewing for a job. You make no false moves, and you send clear signals when you interview. He certainly has done that. and they are signals that sound an alarm in my head.
