Re: Pray for the good citizens of Europe
I don't get to see them that much. We don't go to Christ Church anymore and they live about 2 hrs away. Wow-what a small UPC world we live in!

If by "active" you mean evil, green eyed, spawn of Satan, spoiled rotten brat, then I would agree!
But, he actually grew up to be a GREAT guy, and he and I are very close. He's more like a brother to me than a nephew, I think the world of him.
But, when he was a little kid, I was babysitting him, and he threw a HotWheel at me and hit me in the forehead! I retaliated, and had a little "come to Jesus" meeting, and then my mom spanked me!
So, I had a big red mark on my forehead, and a red behind!

Well, his your kinfolk, so I was being nice!
My mother had him in her SS class - - - WHOA!!!!
One Sunday he was so bad, right in the middle of the Adult SS Class she walked him straight up to the front pew and sat him by his Dad and said "I can't teach with him in my classroom!!!!!"
I remember just praying for them to get home when I watched him.

It's going very well, they are in Paris now.
Yesterday, they visited the Louvre, saw the Mona Lisa, took some pictures, etc.
Today, they went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, went to the Cathedral of Notre Dame, and quite a few other cool things.
They are in Paris one more day, and then they head to Rome.
Maybe they'll get to shake hands with the pope, lol!

My daughter, even though she isn't walking with the Lord at the present time, was a little put out when she visited Notre Dame. She felt they had made the church into a tourist attraction with the buying and selling that was going on. It was a different atmosphere in Italy at the Vatican and at a large cathedral in Florence. The women had to wear shawls if they did not have their shoulders covered as a gesture of respect for a place of worship.
