Bro. Mark, is it okay to question a minister other than a Pentecostal one? I think Dan brings questions to the table not out of disrespect, but out of clarity.

I agree that it has cost Apostolics credibility with direct predictions that don't come to pass.

My own feeling is prophecy is to be used generally when it comes to exact predictions of timing and events.

God will authenticate his own prophetic word.

Sensationalism sells.

Be it a for-profit prophet, a purveyor of magic prosperity "seed", or a money for miracles faith healer.

I stand by the truth in advertising suggestion.

The church exists to propagate the gospel. The death of Christ, His conquest of sin, hell, and death. His ability to take the least on earth and transform them into sons and daughter of the Most High God. Don't need to be sensationalized.

No, discuss the doctrine but I have a soft spot for older
ministers who have a good humble spirit. even if don't agree
with everything they teach I hate to see the way people hurt
their feelings

Don't forget there are the people who are truly humble, and the people who write books about how humble they are...

This is hilarious! It's OK to start threads expressing shock and awe over an older preacher who wore an ear ring to his daughter's wedding, but God forbid anyone say anything against another older minister who flirts with being a false prophet with all his end time "predictions."

I went into a bookstore in the Philippines last night and saw Joel Osteen's book prominently displayed... Since I'm from Houston, I didn't realize he had such an international following.

His books are hawked on book stands by illegal street vendors in downtown Brooklyn ...
