Anyway, he and his wife recently moved to Nashville and don't really know anybody outside of their jobs. My SIL and him really hit it off! (My SIL was a star pitcher at MTSU a few years back)
To make a long story short, we asked if he had found a church since they moved to Nashville. It turns out that he got burned out on church when he was in high school. The youth leader, whom he really admired, had an affair with a girl and was kicked out of the church. The youth leader was a mentor to him and he became disillusioned with church.
He and his wife are expecting a baby in November and have been talking about finding a good church to raise their child in. They are supposed to sit with us a week from this Sunday at church!  |
