Likewise, I know several good ones. That doesn't change my original opinion. IMO, there are more homosexuals from cons than libs.

Re: Dan's Agenda
I think we've had enough of this thread...it is off subject and too inappropriate for an Apostolic forum.

Mizpeh, I am surprised at people's reaction to this notion of abstaining from marital relations on church days. For us it was no different than any other type of one day fast. I am sure some of the folks around here have gone on a one day food fast on Sundays. Abstaining on church days is just another form of denying one's flesh. Surely people can't find fault with that?

It isn't Biblical. The Bible is very specific about not denying each other except with mutual consent to fast [food] and pray, and that for a limited time so as not to be tempted.
Enough said.

DM, I don't know what prompted the negative reaction to what you practice. I didn't see you making a law out of it or anything like that. Back when we were observing this abstaining for church days thing, it made it easier to break through during prayer time and worship service. Maybe some folks around here need to give it a try and see if it makes a difference in what they experience while in a church service. It's not like abstaining produced some mind blowing gates of heaven opening experience for us at church, but it did make it easier to pray and stay focused on God on Sundays.

Re: Dan's Agenda
Let's just add a bit more legalism and see if we can feel any more holy.

LOL, waiting until you get home from church isn't even a full day. If abstaining from a pleasure of the flesh will bring me into the presence of God more fully, then whatever that pleasure is can wait until after church, IMHO.

I knew a couple who went on a 6 month fast from the marital blessing. I don't think I could do that, but we never had a problem with one day.

Sad. Sounds like you need a Romance 101 refresher.

Just because you say it isn't Biblical doesn't mean there isn't any Bible for it, Rhoni. If you are that offended then maybe you shouldn't read anymore in this thread. Better yet, put in a complaint with ADMIN. That's what the report button is for.

Rhoni, no one is saying it should be a hard and fast rule that everyone has to obey or be lost.
