Indeed, but if we were to intitute nationalized health care here,
the basic laws of supply and demand would kick in.
There wouild be a significant increase in demand (that is, the people taking advantage of free/reduced-cost healthcare) while the supply (facilities, personnel) would be the same, at least initially. This would cause longer wait times, and reduction in the average quality of care overall.
