It's not just a matter of translation from one language to another. Your Bible comes from a completely different textual tradition that the one used by the apostles. The differences are so great that wars in Europe were fought in part over this issue.
I do notice that with this knowledge, your taunting and judgmentalism has toned down. I'm glad for that.
You did bring up a very good question. But when it's brought up here it usually comes down to an argument over shirtsleeves and haircuts.
Frankly, I'd like to think that each of us has a life which is of much more interest and consequence in the eyes of the Almighty than our shirtsleeves and haircuts.
