I couldn’t agree with you more. I think it does great damage just to tell someone to “get rid of your TV” without explaining to them why. And that goes with anything such as women wearing pants, makeup, jewelry, ect

I agree.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Baptized in Jesus name
Oneness in doctrine
Believe in tongues as initial gift of Holy Ghost

Hometownguy,
The thing to remember is, many here on AFF believe that
all you have to do is accept Jesus into your heart at that
point you are saved. THEN, If you want to get baptized,
you should do it in JN, but it's not essential. Tongues is
optional too

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but how many people that are in church and have cable that only watch these kind of programs. And what about the commercial you cant control them.

Anymore, commercials are pretty clean, unless you are watching tv after 11pm or so. That's when those idiot male enhancement, Girls Gone Wild, and sex chat commercials come on the air. Even then, it depends on the channel. Your more family oriented or educational channels are not going to have those kinds of commercials on them.
