I know this is a private rumination concerning your own sweet mother, but this should be published.....you have so poignantly and beautifully described what many folks, including myself, have experienced.....

This is a difficult time of life...a transition period...after I visited with her yesterday afternoon, I felt I needed to write about my feelings and emotions...and maybe these expressions can help someone else going through this, too...

your writings are always helpful. My mother is dealing with the same issues as yours. She lives with my sister and it is just getting worse every month. I do not even like to go back to Ohio to visit because she does not know me. My mother also dedicated her life to her God, husband, and family. Only to have her husband walk out on her. Now she is slowly being locked away in that strange world in her mind. I sat here with tears in my eyes understand and feeling that pain. Also understanding and feeling that love you have for her.
Love you brother. God grant us all the peace we need to deal with this proces before they go on to their heavenly reward.
