Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery?
Recently there has been a wave of “purse parties” going through the Christian ranks. They basically sell knockoff Coach Purses and the like, they also have large booths at the Farmer’s Market down the road.
This prompted a question from me, how do you feel about this? Would you buy one? What if it was a “knock off” suit? Or Shoes? Or a watch?
Can a Christian, in good conscience, wear or carry something that is a “knock off”?
Your opinions....

Why not? Some of them wear a knock off religion.

How would you feel if you created a quality product and someone made a poor imitation and put your brand name on it?

Isn't that illegal?

Yes, it is. But they are doing it anyway. That is my question, would you do it? Would you buy a really nice purse from a party (think pampered chef, or tupperware-type party) except instead of kitchen proucts, it is purses compete with the "C" on the bag. They go for around $25.00

No, I wouldn't. I just buy mine at Wal-Mart. We have had people on the side of the road selling knock-off Nike's here. Right down the road from the Police Station, they didn't last long.........lol
If you shop at some re-sale shops you can find some of these items in excellent condition. Very inexpensive.

Re: Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery?
I don´t try to impress anyone ...when you look at me you see what I am...nothing fake...just simple me...I hate fakes...
Why would we even want to be what we are not?

What about a watch? I used to live in San Diego, and we would go down to Tijuana to shop. Mostly blankets and coats, but there were alot of places sellng "Rolex" watches and "Name Brand" suits

If you buy it in TJ then it is ok for sure, probably not even a knock off. LOL.
