Bring Your Own Bag.... What did YOU think it meant?

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

According to the article, the city of Los Angeles will stop allowing the use of Plastic grocery bags July 1, 2010. Shoppers will need to bring their own bags, or be charged 25 cents for each paper bag. They are hoping that state of California will be doing this by 2012.

Would you begin carrying your own bag?

I already (try to) do this. I think it's a good idea.

Re: BYOB

We have at least one store that is already doing this (exclusively--no other bags provided), and other stores are encouraging it.

I have no problem with it. I already have several bags. (Thanks to BOOMM)

Just at the grocery store. Everyone should gather 'round the hummus and water crackers first.

Re: BYOB

boy I hate wacko envriomentalism... .but I think the number of these bags used ONCE then tossed each year is around 100 BILLION. they are filling landfills...

this is one thing that might be a good idea to get rid of.

and dont even think about recycling them. 1 ton of the stuff costs $4000 to process and can then be resold for about 32 bucks.

Oh He'll be there, and so will his mother-in-law, you may need to get a bed ready for him, he would probably rather stay with you then over there....
