When a preacher says things like "my" church or "my" people. It kind of rubs me the wrong way. It is always Christ's church and Christ's people since he is the one who died for them.

That's one thing my dad has always said, it's not my church or your church, it is Gods' church, and we are all in it!

The good result of that type of teaching is there is no "us" or "them". We are all one therefore it makes it harder to speak evil of saints from other congregations....or at least it should.
