Right now is when the choir needs to burst forth with "I am a Pentecostal". Maybe that will be the altar song.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Yessir, this one is gonna be a doosie. It probably won't generate any responses
I don't have a problem with it. I haven't heard one of these kinds of messages in a good while. I am enjoying it. If I start a standards thread tomorrow you will know why.
Easy now, this is St. Mark's pastor you all are bashing.
No sir, I am not bashing him, and I do know that Bro. Emory is Mark's pastor. I just today commented at their website. I just know what reaction it is going to generate.

First, I had to be there last night @ church
he was already in Ala.
I only go if he calls me - he doesn't preach behind an organ
too much in UPC events BUT when he's home?????
He's making a good point about ADD right now. Seeing things happening as quickly as they do on tv can contribute to someone developing ADD. I wouldn't say that's what causes it, but it does contribute to it.
