So the first step to being accepted by and fellowshipping with trinitarian charismatics is the dropping of the standard.

Then it's just another step to "well they don't really believe in three Gods, after all it's really just semantics".

And then the use of the name of Jesus in water baptism is not as important as it used to be.

Thanks, but NO THANKS, I'll just stay over here and WATCH the train wreck.
Trinitarian Pentecostal men believe it or not many do not have facial hair. BTW are you saying you believe no facial hair is bible?

OPs were fellowshipping them before the AOG kicked them out and they were still fellowshipping them long afterward.

If Old is right Jesus and Paul would have fellowshipped Trinitarians and gave up their stand on baptism in Jesus name

If you have a set of plans for the building you know exactly which walls are load bearing walls, and which walls served a purpose for a time but can be removed during renovation.

We have a pretty good set of plans that tell us which walls are load bearing, the problem is that people fall in love with the decorative walls and don't want the building remodeled.

Fantastic analogy, Michael!

Brother Epley (and Old Paths),

I want to say this with as much respect as I can, so please accept this in the spirit that I mean it.

For many years I defined my walk with God by what I DID NOT do. "Don't Smoke, Don't Chew, Don't run with people who do! Don't Bob my hair or go to the the-a-tare"

After watching good men get punished for wanting to bring us into fellowship with other churches, I decided I didn't want to be a part of a group of people that could so easily throw others away.

I now define my Christianity by Christ. He is why I am able to go to heaven, because I am passionate about my love for Him, I seek Him through prayer and His Word. I don't need to give you a list of what I do, and don't do, in order to get your stamp of approval on my passport to Heaven.

I enjoy reading your posts and you guys bring a lot of liveliness to the forum, but I have to admit that there are times when I think it is extremely judgmental on your part to tell people that they are going to Hell. I remember my (UPC) Foster Dad once saying... "I am not being judgmental, I am being a Fruit Inspector!"... he was being judgmental...

Re: No Thanks, I Will Stay Old Time Pentecost

Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks in Pentecost who are more loyal to tradition than they are to the truth. And they're willing to hold on to something they know is biblically unsupportable, because they're so proud of the fact that they still do it "like the old timers did ".

But I think we should keep in mind that in Mark 7 Jesus had some harsh words for those who were "teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

But Bro. Epley - long sleeves and long pants to you is relative - - - they might be short on others! Love you!

Your theory is very flawed, my friend.

Hope you make it, but you're not dead YET.
