the trip from Nawllins to Destin is a tank of gas and 4 excellent roadtrip CD's away.
(In college a friend loaned his MG-B that he was selling for my four day trip at Navarre....we didn't have CD's back then, but with an MG-B and the top down, you couldn't hear much anyway!)

For the most part, I find any reference to human credential, among members of the body of God's Christ, as borderiing on complete irrelevance, a type of silliness, in discussions focusing on the Kingdom of God. Yet once evoked, they do present a basis for which credibility can be cross-referenced and questioning be presented to further examine purpose/motive.
So D.V., how does any action, persued in an attempt to verify a poster's genuiness, contradict
"TRULY STAND-ing UP FOR TRUTH"?
To me, it seems reasonable to ask, even though you have no obligation to provide it.

I could say something but the only thing I will say...one shows their foolishness when they think that a secular education does not enable one to minister for God in a more credible and efficient way...take Paul for instance. The fishermen weren't asked to write the majority of the new testament...they weren't qualified. Paul studied at the feet of Gamaliel...secular education that benefitted the kingdom...
Well, I guess I did say it. You don't have to be poor and stupid to be used of God in spiritual things.
Blessings, Rhoni
P.S. But you do have to be truthful and Dr. Vaughn hasn't been. That is the issue.

I honestly don't think that's what TB was saying at all.

thank you for staying completely within your online persona.
Please do not let me inhibit your celebrating of your credential whenever and wherever you can.

It sounded a bit like a backhanded comment...but you know how sensitive I am to the subject so I may have been wrong, maybe they can clarify.

I won't speak for TB, because he does a wonderful job on his own.
But, what I gathered from his post was that having the degrees did not make one MORE qualified to speak to spiritual things, therefore he gets a bit suspicious when someone mentions their secular education before discussing spiritual issues.
However, once one has made such claims, asking them to prove them is not against truth.
I may be way off base, but that's what I understood.
