Again, I UNDERSTAND why all of you WANT to know if Dr. V is truly credible. I want to know, too. LOL!!!!!
I just don't think it's my right--or yours--to demand it.
No, it's not anyone's right to demand it, but if a person wants to have credibility when it's called into question, the ball is in their court to make it right.

I'm just going to go ahead and state it now: If any person on this forum, ADMIN or not, ever demands personal information from me, privately or otherwise, to prove any matter, with the threat of losing membership hanging over my head, it will NOT be provided. Simply on principle. And you will lose me as a member of my own volition.
It is not the place of ANYone on this forum to demand personal information from a poster, even if they have already given out personal information of their choosing. And that is my final word on the matter.
From the Rules:
"Privacy of Posters & Private Messages
As privacy is an important issue to many posters on Apostolic Friends Forum, let it be understood that anyone that maliciously reveals another's private information will be banned.
Private messages are a privilege. Private messages and emails which are exchanged privately, are not to be posted on the forum without consent of both parties. If you receive inappropriate emails or pm's, please notify an Admin, and allow Admin to deal with it accordingly."
Would this not also apply to demanding private information be revealed, even to Admin?
I feel that we have the right to ask, but if it isn't provided, we do not have the right to demand it, or seek it out and reveal it ourselves, against the wishes of the member.

I completely agree. But they should retain the option to leave it an unknown if they wish, albeit with a mark against their credibility.

Previously? and then he didn't give it so you asked for it publicly?
ILG, he even told others privately (even non-admins) that he would send them proof. He has yet to do so. He offered this before it was demanded. When he didn't come forth, it was then demanded.

This is your prerogative, you can refuse to provide the info and leave on your own volition. Which is exactly what Dr. V did.
However, as it has been stated, he volunteered the information and never provided it. Admin saw that it was dividing the forum, saw the potential problems, and asked him to do what he said he was going to do.
Note that Admin asked this privatly, DV is the one who made it public.

Miss Bratt - calm down.

But Abi, he said several times that he would provide the proof! That's the issue here. Where is it?
If he wanted it to remain unknown, he should have kept his mouth shut. Instead, he offered several times, both publically and privately, to provide proof of his claims.
He's simply being told to put up or shut up. I personally don't care if he's a DR or not anymore than I care if Epley is really a pastor or not. But credibility is important, and that's the issue here.
