Whole Hearted...good to see you back on this thread brother.
Did you ever post an answer to the question of what scriptures you use to forbid men in your church to wear any facial hair???
I may of missed it, if you ever answered.
No and I won't take the time here now. We all know the teaching on this. It would be lengthy to do here. I do not teach it a sin BUT it is not ant will not be allowed here because it is a bad witness and is still a sign of rebellion.

I thought you said it was a heaven or hell issue?

So Jesus was a bad witness?

Couldn't be to lengthy WH...there's no scripture that forbids it in any fassion.
Nothing in the word anywhere that i am aware of that states that facial hair is a sign of rebellion or a bad witness.
Please enlighten us where these scriptures are hidden. I don't want to be lost.

How is it a bad witness? Was it a bad witness in the Apostles days? How is it "still" a sign of rebellion?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Herein lies the beginning of error and false doctrine. I can only assume that you don't teach it a sin because scripture doesn't call men's facial hair sin. I admire you for the honesty of admitting that.
What is confusing and unexplainable is why you go on to say that it "will not be allowed". What are you basing your assumptions of a "bad witness" or a "sign of rebellion"on? Those statements aren't congruent with scripture and therefore if your dissimenting this opinion veiled as some sort of standard or doctrine among people or, especially new converts, it's dangerous.
Anthony Mangun's message at BOTT this year was powerful and I'll quote him from that message. He made this statement, "when I step in there(the pulpit) it's not about me, or it isn't supposed to be about me. I'm speaking for God and he said don't add to it and don't take away from it. We're real quick to measure somebody that's taken from, but we get a little slow when someone's adding to.... preach it as hard as you want to preach it. Preach against fresh air or go as left as you want to go. But you remember, God will judge you. I don't care how hard you lay it down, you're gonna be held accountable. Whether it's hard or whether it's easy, he want's his word."
Powerful and so true.
