It amazes me that I have read a lengthy thread about being "old-time pentecost" and I don't believe I read anything about the power of the Holy Ghost, casting out demons, effecting our world with tremendous anointing, reaching the lost, breaking strongholds in our cities, history making revivals and outpourings of the Holy Ghost, the world knowing us by our love, doing greater works than Jesus did......
It amazes me how skewered our perspective has become and how different the focus of many is than the focus of the New Testament church. I wonder how a thread about Pentecost would read if it were written by Paul.

You my friend have the gist of old time pentecost. It is a not so subtle form of idolatry. Old time pentecost is a substitue becuase the things you mentioned are lacking. Some people have to have a sense of identity. Too bad they choose the superfulous and not the spritiual. Old time pentecost is status quo 50-60 years ago. The church will make great strides when the demons of o-t-p are cast from our churches.
