Oh you POOR KID!!!!!! You really haven't even LIVED yet!

The first time I ever had chocolate gravy was years ago up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at old Brother Lon and Sister Minnie McDaniels house!

Chocolate gravy is the consistency of the gravy that comes with bisucits and gravy but it is CHOCOLATE! Kind of like a thinner chocolate pudding, and believe it or not I have a recipe from Brother Francis in Lodis mom sitting right next to me on my book case!

Here it is...
2 cups of milk
2/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of flour
1 rounded tablespoon of cocoa
dash of salt
cook until it comes to a boil

add
1/3 stick of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla

and voila you has CHOCOLATE Gravy, serve it with homemade biscuits and your family will go nuts!

(No really NUTS! They will be swingin on the chandeleiers and doin cart wheels on the front lawn, all kinds of stuff!!!!!!)

MY SUGGESTION... you might after one or two times start experimenting...add a little cinnamon, a little butter rum extract, you know play around with it!

We make it with a roux, just like regular gravy. But it needs to be a clean roux, from veg. oil. But pretty much like yours other than that.
