My theory is that two things are keeping Sanjaya on;

1. Young preteen and teen girls
2. The website Howard Stern is promoting that urges people to vote for the worst performers. I understand this has caught on in college campuses and many are doing just that.

I believe both of those reasons will fade as the pool to vote for narrows and the millions of honest voters will outnumber the goofballs voting for Sanjaya. Right now the honest voters are diluted, spread between so many different contestants. Hopefully in the next week or two that will change.
