Dear Brother,

IF you had read my rambling "essay" you would have known I was a

"woman".

It was SO refreshing to me as a mother of six adult children and 20 grand-
children, all living for God, to hear someone chosen to run for a national
office, to say she "was as pro-life as you could get".
Yes, I believe she
has truth. Again, we are not talking about the doctrine or truth as in the
plan of salvation, etc. That not what this election is about. But you have
to start somewhere and it sounds like she is ahead of some who claim to
know the "truth" of which I assume you are speaking.

Blessings,

Falla39

Mam I am sorry for offending you. I did not read your post but just scanned it for the answer to my question? Again I ask your forgiveness.

Bro. Light,

I mean no disrespect, but you come across as having a problem with

Republicans and women. Strong women, that is! Women that stand up

for what is right!

Brother,

You didn't offend me in the least. Sometimes it is good to dialogue and
be able to better understand one another. A yes or no doesn't always
get the job done. There needs to be more understanding where each is
coming from.

Blessings,

Falla39

Great swelling words???? Doesn't that usually apply to prideful or arrogant remarks? Sis. Falla doesn't write like that whatsoever.

I cannot handle getting sucked into another election cycle abortion conversation, but let me just ask a direct question.

If I do support the Republicans again in this election in large part due to the abortion issue, what exactly have they said they will do about abortion? Please cite something direct that you can attribute to a real, live person. As it stands 1 million children stand to die next year no matter if we elect Obama or have another year of GOP. So we need to do and know something concrete.

Yes I have major problems with the Republican party. They preach conservatism yet they are the least conservative. I voted for Regan and lost every thing I owned when he shut down the oil industry in the eighties. Once was enough.
The republicans have been in power 8 years in the white house and 12years in congress plus a majority of supreme court justices.
They have made only a token attempt on abortion because they know if they over rule Roe V Wade they will have no hot button issue to get your vote. Abortion will be an issue four years from now even if McCain & Palin are elected and the republican gain seats in the Senate.

As far as strong women I have no problem with the strong ones or those that you may think are weak. I love them all (in the Lord) The choice of Palin has nothing to do with her being strong. The problem is I listened to John McCain for the last 18 mo. and his choice is contrary to all that he has said. Just my opinion.

I will not vote for someone who says if his (Obama) daughter makes a mistake that he does not want her penalized with a baby. Abortion for birth control, for convenience, to avoid the harvest of mistakes, I will vote for the one that says abortion is wrong, and that he will be pro-life president.

Crakjak, I understand that. I have been hearing that my entire life. I'm just asking what that means and what specifically the pro-life candidates are promising to do about abortion and what specifically we should expect to have happen so that this is not just a perpetual vote-getter and rhetoric.

Noone is answering that specific question.
