Re: Gov. Sarah Palin's acceptance speech

"She was a leader of the Anti-war activists that were starting fires and breaking windows and attacking delegates. etc. Something these loons have been planning to do at the RNC for a long time even had a website to get more to join them. Just a bunch of losers who have to harm others to get their anger out. Sad ! They kinda act like terrorists- Maybe Mr.Bill Ayers is in the gang again. he did say he wished they did more bombing etc."
Man that last line is something else,Those people need some serious help-

I'm not sure that the best approach was to punk "the boy". In my opinion she should have tried to come across as transcendant, above, and different from the typical politicking. Going on the attack simply invites return fire and I'm just of the opinion that she has too much that can be attacked.
I still haven't had a chance to watch the whole speech, but the parts I did see that were not sarcastic were good.

Yes, but I think that she could successfully attract many of the "change crowd" by capitalyzing on her stance that she is not traditional politics.

That's all part of the fun, Stew. They say serious and important things and then take a few jaw punches. I loved it!!!

It was the "peace sign" lol!

She wouldn't let her fingers change it's stance no matter how hard they were pushing her out of the room.

Personally, I like sarcasm. I like the barbs delivered with a gracious smile. But that's just me.

Typically, the vice president does the "dirty work" of attacking the opponent, and the presidential candidate can focus on more generic interests and rise above the fray. That's part of what will make SP formidable--the potential ability to do her traditional job as VP candidate, and still come across as intelligent, calm and pragmatic.

If she continues in the manner in which she delivered last night's speech, Joe Biden doesn't stand a chance. He's simply not charming enough, interesting enough, intriguing enough or pretty enough. And he probably doesn't have the capacity to rein in his temper as she does, but that's purely conjecture on my part. You know women can often push men's buttons with ease, and smile calmly while the man roars into an insane, incoherent rage.
