Well lets walk through this does God forgive our sins when we ask him to in repentance?

I really have to run. So I'll return and walk through a bit later I have to have more mental energy (and football has to not be on) . I was just asking if you believed that the Bible taught that Salvation was simply forgiveness of sin.

I was just kidding about that part of the post. I've been listening to the game, but I have to run and do some things...before I end up having to crash on one of you guys' couch.

Re: The Assembly of God is NOT Pentecostal!!!

Classic verbal diversionary tactic.

The old one-stepper vs. three-stepper crud.

This thread has nothing to do with that tired, old, moth-eaten topic.

This thread is about the AOG Assistant General Superintendent claiming that his organization is decreasingly Pentecostal. So much so, that he is not sure that the AOG will even be a Pentecostal org within ten years.

His concerns, as reported to the AOG General Conference voting constituency, were that the AOG does not emphasize patently Pentecostal distinctives.

Those distinctives, in his mind, were water baptisms and Holy Spirit baptisms.

Note that the conference took IMMEDIATE action. That action involved discipleship that focused on these two distinctives.

Now, contrast that to the obvious disdain for water baptism and Holy Ghost baptism on the part of Daniel and Baron.

See the contrast?

The AOG is decreasingly Pentecostal and is alarmed.

Daniel and Baron aren't even in the same zip code as Pentecostal, and ask everyone else to join them in celebration.

Revealing.

Folks, you get what you preach.

It's all a matter of emphasis, or lack thereof.
Not about one-step ... three step ... PP.

How dishonest ... being that this is your original post.

Maybe you're taking to much upon yourself.

Why do you feel you need to defend them?

If they're already in the family of God anyway, they don't need anyone to defend them.

BORG let go of PP, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost.

You start a thread to attack the PCI view ... only to back off and cry foul ...

Dude.
