Democrats and left wingers are the ones who are afraid right now.That's why they're attacking her so hard.
She's become immensely popular, has energized the conservative base, and is in position to pick off a lot of women voters and independents the Democrats thought they would have gotten.
They were ready to deal with Romney, or Tim Pawlenty... but they never expected Sarah Palin; and they clearly don't know yet how to deal with her. They tried to make her look like a lightweight, but now they can see the public isn't buying that.
41 million people watched her speech. She energized McCain and the rest of the Party. Now 39 million people tuned in to watch McCain's speech (more than tuned in to watch Obama!).
Yup.
They're scared... and with good reason.
