Forgiving does not mean you have to be an idiot. I forgive people all of the time but it doesn't mean it wipes the slate clean in the sense I no longer know what they are.
If someone cheats me I can forgive them but forgiveness does not dictate I put myself in a situation for them to cheat me again.
The same thing here. One can repeatedly forgive BP for his silliness but that doens't mean we have to act like he isn't silly.
