Sorry, I basically like you, but sometimes you just annoy me!!!!!!

I'm not getting into this issue with you, again.

This is not outrageous? He should be ashamed.

I called him and asked him about it, and he stood behind his statements essentially telling me to like it or lump it.
I would have to have heard exactly what he was saying to comment. I wasn't there, so we take your word for it.

Ok, one question for you. Has Gordon Poe changed his gun-slinging style of preaching?

I honestly don't know because I have avoided church when he was there on a couple of occasions.

Ask him about this the next time you see him. If he apologizes, let me know.

At work they are encouraging us to "engage in candor." Looks like PO's been listening in on our meetings!

I'm never going to ask him - ever.

I have to agree with Carp here, having sat in the same services he did with the man. Of course, maybe he doesn't act like that other places he preaches.

Candor - sincerity of expression

Yes, I agree.

See, I wanted to talk about a hurricane and look what happened! I'm going back to the political threads. That doesn't make me angry.

I missed this and I believe I want to respond.

I have been in services when he has spoken directly to what the problem is in someone's life. I've worked with people at the altars who were ready to move further because of his preaching.

I have heard him say some over the top stuff. I don't care if anyone thinks that the Holy Ghost changes you or not. It doesn't change your personality. He was a rough and tumble guy when he lived for himself and sometimes that is part of who he is.

Bottom line - He has tremendous faith in the power of God and God uses him because of his simple faith. I can identify with that.

Yes, I have been annoyed by some things he has said, but I have also been annoyed by some things you have said - so now it could be Even Stevens, except I've never felt the anointing on your life when I've read anything you wrote. I've just been under the impression that you have a good mind

How's that for candor?

Now, I'm going to sit under a tree and let Hurricane Ike blow me away. Is that working for you? LOL!
