We most CERTAINLY do not baptize the way the early church did. However, having said that, I am NOT an advocate of baptizing using the name of Yeshua/Yahshua or other any other Hebrew derivative. We know who the name of Jesus represents and I always use the name of Jesus when I baptize someone, when I pray etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
That being said, we must be very careful that we don't make the Greek rendering of "Hashem" Jesus, some "magical" incantation as if the Greek Jesus is THE way it was pronounced during bibical times. It certainly was NOT.
