Meaning that He always, was, is and will be. He is the Father of all creation. He was probably never called by the Greek rendering Iesous and it is believed that the "J" was not used until about 500 yrs ago and that there was no "J" in ANY language until the 14th century England.

We most CERTAINLY do not baptize the way the early church did. However, having said that, I am NOT an advocate of baptizing using the name of Yeshua/Yahshua or other any other Hebrew derivative. We know who the name of Jesus represents and I always use the name of Jesus when I baptize someone, when I pray etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

That being said, we must be very careful that we don't make the Greek rendering of "Hashem" Jesus, some "magical" incantation as if the Greek Jesus is THE way it was pronounced during bibical times. It certainly was NOT.

That kind of speak can get you in trouble around here ...
