i remember how polite people were driving here in Dallas in the days after 9/11. Everybody was so helpful and kind. people didnt get bothered by standing in a line at the grocery store.

There was some odd since that we were all in this together.

I dont know that it would be possible for that feeling to be maintained, but I have a certain sadness that this.... what every you call it... has been lost.

Someone said it is great that we have this rememberance on this date, but we need to be constantly aware that 9/11 is ever with us.

You are exactly right Ferd. The world would be a much better place if we could all remember daily.

I was getting ready to leave for work and the tv was on the Today Show, when the news broke. As everyone else, I'll never forget the feeling I got when that 2nd plane slammed into the tower.

Oddly enough, 9/11 coupled with a near death experience when my third was born almost a month later are what pushed me *completely* into witchcraft and paganism and shamanism and all the other isms I got myself into. I'd been riding the fence for awhile, had been out of church for almost 2 years at that point, but the combined experiences, plus a few others, got me off the fence.

By that time I watching too- it took a few moments to comprehend.

The day stated with a call from Keith's parents to turn on the TV, and it was to images of the first burning tower in flames-

I think we just stayed glued to the TV for the rest of week??? I dont remember it just seemed to go on and on.

I was in the car getting ready to pull out of the garage headed for the school when I head the news on the radio. It also happens to be my husbands birthday.

I was just getting moving that day and was also amazed that a second plane hit the other building . It really surprised me as the building fell how straight it fell . I then wondered how will this affect the country's financial markets and more importantly to myself how will I get debt free if it does collapse I will never be able to sell my houses . At the time I thought that most of the people had exited the building so all that was lost was property . When I heard otherwise ,I was sad for the souls that stepped into entity without God .

The last 15 months would require a book to tell. lol I don't mind sharing though, let me get the kids settled in (YEAH! Kid chaos! You have no idea how much I'm enjoying this) and I'll try to type something out tonight.

I was pregnant with our third. I had called in sick because I didn't feel well. I was laying on the couch watching Katie Couric and Matt Lauer and they went to some story with the WTC towers in the backdrop. I saw the first plane hit the tower. And everyone thought at first a small plane had a nav problem and ran into the tower. By the time the second one hit, we knew it was no accident and it wasn't a small plane.
