Houston Gas availability
My husband may have to go to Houston tomorrow and needs to know if there are any gas stations open with gas?
He can't afford to get down there and not be able to get back.
Thanks

One of the gas stations here has been out for a few days.

Re: Houston Gas availability
Thanks DA. Hope they still have gas tomorrow. We both have to make a trip in and can't go together as he will be driving into the terminals.

check for updates Esther, most gas stations around here are not having trouble getting it as much as there are still huge pockets without power.
Most of those will no doubt clear by time he is here next week
The areas surrounding those pockets have gas but long lines.
Knowing the back streets is the key, unfortunately for non-natives.
I actually came across a station last night while returning from getting rental car for wife. Line two deep, price 2.59 slightly off the highway.
Where I live no gas within 5-6 miles and judging by the number of power lines down with trees still on top on them not likely to be any there soon.

$2.59?
Don't you mean $3.59

I started to comment on that too....I was thinking if that was correct to send IKE back our way..it's 4.09 here...one place was charging 4.49...talk about taking advantage of the situation.

We are both going into town tomorrow. We lived in Houston for over 25 years, so we know a few back streets.
Thanks for the input.
