At Amazon, they range between $9.99 and $13.99, for the actual CD (if you spend over $25, you can get free shipping).

I prefer to have the actual CD, because if my ipod gets stolen, or my computer blows up, I will still have the music.

Re: How to Save Money

This may not be the case in all areas of the country, but if you are shopping at several grocery stores to get their advertised specials you might want to check with your Walmart store. Locally, Walmart will match any competitor's ad. You just need to take the ad in with you when you shop. Would save extra gas and time going to the different stores.

About every other month, I charge enough to get a $25 amazon gift certificate, which gets me at least 2 CD's. This is how I finance my music obsession.
Cool.

This is how I finance Christmas each year... I save up my Amazon GC's from using my Amazon Visa for most of my purchases (& I pay it off each month to avoid interest charges).

Also, I buy gas at BP & use their credit card to get 5% back. I get the "cash" price for gas (for using their CC), BP is the cheapest place near me, and I pay it off each month as well to avoid the interest charges. Works out great.

As was already mentioned (I think), I purchase many things online. I watch for sales, clearances, and discounts; including free shipping... plus there's no sales tax. I also send away for freebies from www.fatwallet.com.

Does anyone here do online surveys for cash? I used to do the high paying surveys ($50-150, generally) but found that it was taking up too much of my time. I got burned out on them; but they were a great way to make some extra bucks.

My kids like doing surveys at www.kidzeyes.com to earn a little extra money.

Re: How to Save Money

Has anyone mentioned switching to CFL light bulbs (compact fluorescent lights or energy saving lights)? We've saved quite a bit on our monthly electric bill by switching to CFL bulbs.

I have been doing global test market. As soon as I get my 50 bucks, I am OUT OF THERE! It is way too much of a hassle!

We use the Sears & Roebuck catalog instead of toilet paper. We save a ton of money!

Default on your mortgage and let the government pay it for you.
