Here is the LORD speaking to Israel...is worship of the LORD idolatry?
Eze 16:10 I clothed you also with embroidered cloth and shod you with fine leather. I wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.
Eze 16:11 And I adorned you with ornaments and put bracelets on your wrists and a chain on your neck.
Eze 16:12 And I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.
Eze 16:13 Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen and silk and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour and honey and oil. You grew exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.

If EVERYTHING is vanity and that is a reason to avoid ear rings then you should also avoid everything

And that is your point here? BTW where does the bible say "good clothes" comes from the Father? Does God have his angels in heaven working to make good clothing that he sells at stores? What does that mean?

In animal skins...no zippers, no buttons...nothing

Again....your point is what? What does that have to do with the discussion?

I disagree with anyone that thinks it's wrong. Did you know church in the first century was done in people's homes and they wore dirty clothin and sandles? They did not have a lot of clothing then, no closets, no washing machines and no showers or bathes. It was rare when they got to bathe and wash their clothing

You go to a church meeting to worship Him, to edify others and fellowship and to be edified yourself. God is looking at the heart, not how well pressed your clothing is. Him being the God of everything does not mean we have to dress to the 9s in a showing display of our ability and wealth to dress our best. That is absurd. God does not care if you wear flip flops or not.

Hmmmm...but isn't God the God of everything? Is He only God on Sunday or every day? Why not dress to impress every day!? Remember, you are an embassador for Christ. If he really cares about you flip flops and you dressing to the 9s instead of casual at a church meeting, why would it not be every day? When you pray daily do you first change clothing to a suit and tie?

Hmmm...that building is not God's house. That is Roman Catholic thinking. God's house is you body that the Spirit is in. But if it is for HIS glory why not do that EVERY DAY or are you only a one a day worshipper? How does God get glory from your attire? You think he notices the person that is a sharper dresser out of the crowd and suddenly gets glory?

I would not apply it to anyone other than myself
And to all this I shall simply not respond. Not that I can't, I just simply don't want to. Ever since I was baptized it has been a great huge debate-a-thon for me...I came here to fellowship not to be defending everything I believe...especially with a fellow believer.

P.S. Conservatives are people to you know!
