I was just curious that’s all. Funny, with all the UPCI schools listed the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ got them beat. We got our accreditation and literally are the first Apostolic School that did that. You can get Pell Grants and Stafford loans (basically Title IV funding) http://www.wlbonnercollege.org/ And you are right the Assemblies of God has tons of accredited schools too. Oh, and lets not forget the Seventh Day Adventist Church, they have so many schools you never have to go to public school a day in your life (including historically black Adventist Colleges and Universities) as well as hospitals too.
I guess that leads us to the follow up question, how can the UPCI be the largest Oneness organization and have not one accredited school?????????? I mean granted, I know it’s a doctrinal thing (enforcing Acts 2:38 on allllllllllllllllllllll students etc etc) but come on.....there should be at least ONE.........
Interesting question. I'm sure you could get a wide variety of answers.
But in my view, a lot of it has to do with the simple fact that to me UPCI leadership (and perhaps UPCI culture as a whole), have not placed enough importance on the value of secular university education and preparation for secular careers as do the believers in some of these other denominations.

That is probably true historically. I do know that about 10 years ago, CLC was doing a lot of talking and prepping to try to become accredited. I believe they are regionally certified or something and some of their credits are transferable. They were working in more regular classes into the curriculum.

Although some accredited schools choose to accept some of the classes from CLC they are not accredited. I just tried to get a teaching job and couldn't cuz my CLC degrees are not accredited, even though I'm enrolled in a Masters program. Outside of an OP ministry career and perhaps personal 'enrichment' a degree from these schools have little value in terms of employment or transfer to other undergraduate or grad programs. When I graduated from CLC and went to the local community college they would only give me 12 elective credits for my two degrees from CLC.

I concur w/you and TRFrance. There is a general disdain for higher education in the OP ranks and thus little commitment to it in terms of effort and money. It's a shame.

CLC is way past it's prime and I personally don't see it lasting very long.... very low student counts from what I've heard.....
I would probably say IBC or TBC....
The support for this kind of program has to start at the top. And we all know the attitude toward education by the guy at the top of the local CLC food chain.
