I disagree with that.
I don't think Israel should have to give back land they took in a war they didn't start.

What were the circumstances?

Frankly I think the Jews should have been admonished to assist their home nations in rebuilding after the war. Such assistance would have perhaps enmeshed them into their local society and they could have gone on living in the lands they had lived in for centuries. Or the UN could have started a sponsorship program in which various nations elected to sponsor allowing so many Jews to come into their society. The truth is that nobody wanted the Jews in their country. So the Zionists used that for the political leverage to sway the United Nations into partitioning Palestine and to establish a Jewish state. It was part of a very radical Zionist agenda. And frankly it's become the greatest conflict on earth.

Would there have been a war if the United Nations didn't originally take land from the Palestinians and give it to the Zionists?

Did not mean anything by it,just wow. Even though I don't agree with all you said I understand you view point. I have friends from the middle east as well I try to relate to them on a one to one basis. That is what Jesus would do.As I stated before I don't agree with oppression from both sides. I'm sorry if I sounded harsh.

Hey, that's cool. I have a few friends who are Palestinian that I've gotten to know because I frequent a local Lebanese restaurant. We like to talk politics sometimes. It's kind of interesting to hear first hand stories.
