Randy - much as I like you, I have to disagree with your train of thought here. I think that you are way off base. I don't know if you are referring to me in the above post - but I have a feeling that you know quite a bit about this situation and the family circumstances - stop and think................... if this was YOUR wife and her family under the exact same circumstances, would you want people discussing it on this forum? Did you read all the posts that people made at the end of the article??? TMI given to the world for gossip fodder that ultimately the family will have to deal with - knowing that people are talking about it ........

What does bother me is when this stuff is swept under the rug.... there is no doubt the Bible itself exposes the lives of those in it...
We need to talk about this stuff...We need to deal with it...I'm sorry but to NOT deal with it does seem like we are protecting our "secrets" somehow... and to the World outside possibly "Hiding" it...much more damaging to us then just keeping quiet and others at arms length...

hey bro, we've known each other a long time. you know i'm your bro. i understand your frustration, believe me, i do. but i think once the guys been caught and is being prosecuted by the law that justice is being served and love needs to kick in. now, if the guy was still perping then by all means let's take of business. but he got busted, so there's no reason to further humiliate his family by piling on. it's the jokers in leadership that are continuing to destroy the kingdom that need to be exposed, not the schmuck who got busted already. that guy and his family and friends and associates need grace and mercy and love right now cuz the community at large is already throwing them under the bus.

Randy - you're missing my point.... that is my whole issue! It wasn't swept under the rug. These people came forward and told the truth. It will be dealt with - it is out of the hands of anyone who would try to keep it a secret. I sincerely admire and appreciate the ones who were willing to stand up against the evil that this man did!
Pray for the family involved, show them kindness and gentleness - give them a call and support them - send them a card letting them know you are thinking of them and praying for God's healing and peace in their life - but for pity sakes - don't blast their personal situations all over the world wide web!
Can you see where I am coming from? If it was MY daddy, brother, cousin, I wouldn't want people that didn't have real concern for my family blasting it all over the countryside - THAT's malicious and sleazy gossip - and that is exactly what the OP did! JMHO

There is a lot of molestation that occurs within rigid fundamentalist churches because they harbor criminals and pedophiiles by reason of the Patriarchal hierarchy and the enmeshment of leadership into individual family structure.
I think that this should be more than just a rhetorical question. Before we do spread information like this, I would like to know more about the validity. I'm not saying that this is not true, but I get very uncomfortable about repeating allegations. There may be some here on the forum who do have inside info and do know more in the way of evidence, but I do not and I like to at least wait until the person has had their day to either refute or be proven to be guilty.
