But for someone criticizing others for what you saw as inappropriate speech, your speech was quite inappropriate also. If you dont see that, then I acually feel bad for you.

You have zero credibility to be criticizing anyone here, when you refer to people on this forum as "a bunch of sleazy gossips". You're in no position to claim the moral high ground in this discussion.

Think about that.
Physician, heal thyself first.

Good day to you.

Brother, you did nothing wrong. AFF has a great admin team. If they would have deemed this thread inappropriate, it would have been removed on the spot.

If this story was merely hearsay or specualtion that would be one thing. It's not.

The people who are calling everyone "gossips" had no problem finding their way to this thread did they?

Are we to live according to the flesh? Really? You might want to re-think that approach to Christian praxis. You can't live accoridng to your emotion, no matter what too many Pentecostals like to believe.

For the record - that is what I'm doing now. I won't be back to this thread. I had already told myself I would post no more on this thread - but felt that I should respond to your post.
Yah, I agree, ala I Tim 6:20. It's why I come to this forum less and less.

regardless of what side of the discussion each poster to this thread has been on, NO ONE has taken up for this man and his actions.

Everyone agrees on one thing: what he did was wrong..

The debate is over the public discussion of the situation instead of being the christian maryter we are supposed to be and quietly sitting back and saying NOTHING.

My understanding is that he is still denying that he did wrong, and his wife is still with him on it. SAD!

It is ok to talk about it, but when we do it needs to be done carefully, respectfully, and with grace always mindful that next time it could be us being ground up as grist in the rumor mill. ask me how i know.
There is a difference between being forgiven and reconciliation, of course we need to forgive him to keep ourelves right, but it seems from his denials that he is not in a state of repentance thus there is no reconcliation possible, even the Lord himself can't forgive an unconfessed sin.

He that covers his sin shall not prosper, but he that confesses and forsakes shall have mercy.

I know how I should live and before you preach to me, put yourself in the position. If you are sympathetic to child molesters, you will ferociously defend them. If you are a victim of child molestation, you cannot easily forgive. As I already proposed, if YOUR little girl was molested by YOUR dad would you so easily forgive him? I think there are some wounds that take a LONG time to heal. Part of my healing process would probably entail "whooping up" the child molester. Violating a child is one of the most horrible crimes a person can commit and even more so when it is to their own flesh and blood. Forgiveness does not come easy.

Yes, we should forgive, restore, etc. However, do you think an ordained minister can commit such crimes and not be a reprobate which has no forgiveness? IDK, but it is a worthwhile question. It is easy to forgive someone stealing, lying, but when there is an offense to a "little one" forgiveness is a long time coming if ever. Even the most vile criminals who are in prison will not defend a child molester.

Took the words right outta my mouth. If AFF is sleazy, gossips, and so forth, guess the condemning voices are just putting on a front for the purpose of debate. For surely if it was as bad as they say and, as holy as they are, they would never enter such a forum. Birds of a feather...... Rings true.
