Re: What's Your Take On Political Correctness?
Political correctness is a pretty label for the disease of "I don't know how to speak the truth."
As Christians, we do have an obligation to choose our words carefully, but we also should be truthful in our communications and transparent in our views.
From a political standpoint, it's just plain idiotic. For example, I WANT to know if a person has racist opinions, so I can choose not to vote for him. PLEASE, by all means, let the person call names and vent his vitriol!!!! It will help me choose whether to be his friend or not!
I think there are a lot of people with very racist, immoral, intolerant views hiding behind political correctness for the sake of votes and retaining political (and other forms of) influence.
Let the truth be spoken! Let your "Yes" mean yes, and your "No" mean no.
