Re: Having surgery today!
I understand about walking after any surgery. I was just surprised at the distance that MOW said he would need to walk. I've always had to get up and walk after any surgery I've ever had. Usually that walk was to the door of my room and back, altho for minor things like the spur off of my heal, I just got up and walked home. Then the doctors told me to lay down and take it easy the rest of the day because I would still have medication in my system that would make me unstable.

That's what the Dr. said!!!!
Anyway, always happy to give to comedic relief!!! Slept OK last night but the worst thing today was taking the body tape off that went half way around my mid-section. OUCH!!! I'll share no more details about that.
Walked another 2.5 mi this morning and have to walk another 2-3 hrs today and tomorrow and then that's it. Will be preaching in both services in the AM tomorrow @ Friend Day. Not supposed to be driving, but I'm bad and am driving anyway! Can't see my new "innie" yet until the tape falls off in a week or so!
There may be hope for my modeling career yet!

Re: Having surgery today!
Strange you should bring this subject up MOW
We just had two men in our church that had the same operation.
They are both doing well.

Well, I hope they have as speedy a recovery as I have had so far! I walked close to 10mi today. So much so that I got a blister on the bottom of my foot!! Supposed to walk for 3-4 hrs tomorrow before I am released with no restrictions.

That's what I meant. I know they like to get you up and walk after any surgery, but hours per day - - wow!
Glad you are doing okay MOW!

You're right, about a lot of walking! I have really only walked 3 out of the 4 hours they suggested to walk the day after surgery. I am supposed to walk another 4 hrs tomorrow, but with 2 services and a new member's class until 4pm, that ain't gonna happen!
We have 36 people signed up for the new member's class!!!! That is a record! D:
