Re: AFF Election Night Thread...

My oppositoin to Obama has nothing to do with race as I would have gladly supported Colin Powell before his recent betrayal and still would support Condi Rice for either President of Vice President.

Obama has the charisma and oratory to appeal to the majority. Unfortunetely he supports views that are contrary to what I believe are ones good for the country.

Abortion now has a friend in power. Unions now will get payback from their Democrat servants in the form of the shameful new rule Dems want of allowing union organizing elections to no longer be in secret but where union intimidation can sway the vote.

Those wanting America to follow Europe down the path toward socialism now have a liberal Democrat President, House and Senate to make their dream come true.

Sadly I have known for weeks that this was going to be the outcome of this election barring some miracle. I can now only pray that Obama's self preservation in the desire to be re-elected in four years will temper his radicalism and cause him to stand against some of the liberal agenda Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will be pushing. He is a very smart man and I am sure has learned from Clinton's mistake in over reaching his first couple of years that resulted in a Republican majority being elected in both houses of congress back in 1994.

Now I wonder if he really will pay that woman's mortgage and car payment? Boy is she going to be disappointed if he doesn't!!!! Surely he can tax some rich small businessman to give her a handout.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
