Bible teaches that if we we should discern good and evil. If everything is spelled out in chapter and verse, why need discernment?

This is a cop out, in my opinion.
We claim to speak when the BIble speaks, and be silent when the Bible is silent, but really, that's not the case.
We excuse our traditions and preferences, even if there is no scripture to back them up, with this broad statement.
We say, "We speak in tongues, because that's how the apostles did it!"
And, "We baptize in JEsus' name because that's how the apostles did it!"
But, when I ask if there is scriptural precedent for people simulating sexual acts when demons are cast out, you say "The Bible only speaks in general terms"? Copout, no offense intended.
THe BIble is extremely specific about what is sin, and what is not sin.
And the fact that it's silent on these issues that we are discussing is the only point I"m trying to make.
We can't make sin what the Bible doesn't make sin.
