Just out of curiousity, in your book, why should I go to church anyway, since God doesn't hear my prayers?

17 years, 52 weeks a year, 3 times a week, 1-1/2 hour a lesson equals: 3,978 hours of learing.

There is a difference between teaching and learning they are not the same.
Some learn faster other slower much slower and some sad to say never learn.

Oh Bro. E that cracked me up!
I appreciate your concern, but I don't think I am a danger to myself or others

What kind of vile, wicked, evil thing is in your heart that you would DARE call the purpose of the "five-fold ministry" (to equip the saints to do the work of serving God) "spoon-feeding"? You're saying that GOD'S PURPOSE for apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (or, perhaps more correctly, pastor-teachers) is spoon-feeding!
The problem, more often than not, is that the saints don't want to be equipped, they want to sit on their blessed assurance and be spoon-fed. They want to be blessed, made to feel good about themselves, to be ministered to.
Some saints take longer to equip than others (usually because of the saints themselves). As for releasing them, they're to be released when God says to release them (an example is when the Holy Ghost told certain prophets and teachers in Antioch to send Paul and Barnabas on what we call Paul's first missionary journey).

Oh Chan, you are so easy to get riled up, and for once I wasn't even trying!
yes, I do think there is a point where what should be "equipping" turns into spoon-feeding. Call me wicked or vile or what have you. (Or course I am sure you already think I am all that just for being a woman who dares to speak her mind...)
I really could care less about what others do. But perhaps I feel that I have been adequately equipped? That is if you think women are even smart enough to understand the Bible, or spiritual enough to have a relationship with God.
Oh well, at least you are predictable.

If you think you've been equipped, then what are you doing about it?
My strong objection was to your equating the BIBLICAL function of equipping the saints with spoon-feeding.
