Bro. TStew,
I have been here from day one of this church. My late parents were
the founding pastor and wife in 1958, I have mentioned before that I
had just turned 19 yrs. old. Married 8 months later and we have never
left. Dad and Mom have fallen asleep, but we have remained. There are
three generations of my own family in this church. My husband and I,
five of our adult children and each of their original spouses. 16 of our
20 grandchildren also are here. Our oldest grandson is married so that
makes 27 of our family. Our middle daughter and her husband are pastor
and wife. They have four beautiful children also.
One son and wife and four children live in a neighboring city and attend
an apostolic church there.
What we pass on to our children is our legacy to them. What they receive
is their heritage from us. We have a goodly heritage. We received it from
our parents. Why shouldn't we inherit our parents legacy to us, their
children. Noah built an ark to the saving of his OWN house. Many others
have joined us through the years. They are part of this family. God's
family. (Don't know why I said all that!
Blessings,

Bro. StMark,
Yes, these ROOTS have been going downward and outward for fifty
years now. They have spread out and other plants have sprung up
from them. Outward to Canton, TX where my brother, David Blakey
and his wife and family have built church to the glory of God. Some
roots are springing up just to the north of us where our sister and her
husband, Harold Gunstanson, are pastoring a home missions work.
Dad said that he realized that IF his family was ever going to have
any roots, he was going to have to stay put and let some grow. And
that's what he did.
Yes, these roots have grown deep in 50 yrs. Jesus said that every
plant that his Father had not planted would be rooted up. Evidently
HE planted us here. Winds have blown and storms have come and gone,
but the SON is still shining in Wide A Wake Wylie, TX. Thank God!
Blessings,

Well, you have much to be proud of!
The younger ladies on AFF would do well to learn from your example

Re: Thank You, God Bless You!!!
Sis Falla,
I wanted to stop by and tell you how thankful that I am to know you.
What a good example of a great Christian lady.
BTW: Aaron said, "HI, he is glad you are his friend".
