Joe left Bible college years ago to be Pastor Suber's full time youth pastor in Lousiana, and subsquently moved to California.
He and Jonathan and John Ragsdale have been good friends for many years and stay in touch.

Re: Pastor Joe Hunt
It would not surprise me to see Hunt gone from the UPC. From what I have heard, and only from what I have heard in Southern California, is that he does not entirely believe in the standards but believes the fundamental oneness doctrine. I believe there is also a little bit of that "relevant doctrine" coming from his church. Anyway, that is just word on the street here. To hear that he is not UPC would not surprise me.

Re: Pastor Joe Hunt
I heard Hunt had an inter-denominational communion service and brought three flavors of Jamba Juice to the service. He mixed them in a big chalice while commenting all faiths come together for the cause of Christ and we are one. Then, he served the mixed Jamba Juice for the communion.

What is the "relevant doctrine"?

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

There is a whole thread in here that talks about that. Far be it from me to go look for it but if you feel like it it here. I think some are just afraid to become relevent to the world. They think that by becoming relevent they are no longer going to be seperate from the world. JMHO

Mango-go-go-go, Razzmatazz, with some Carribbean Passion. Might turn communion service into a shockamoo time.
