Pretention? No
We need to keep it real. We don't need to try to impress the world with our glitter and refinement. They want power and demonstration. Not suits and stuffiness! How will we reach a world to which we don't appear REAL?
The pulpit is just something to hold the Bible and notes when teaching and preaching. It's not found in scripture, only in our tradition that we inherited from the RCC and they inherited from the Greek scholars. So... the pulpit is nothing. It's the WORD that goes forth from it that is everything. There's no such thing as a "sacred desk."

Oh my dear sister, you have no idea how true this statement is. Who else could be held accountable for the lustful, nasty thoughts of our Apostolic brothers in the Lord.
Surely one glance at out fluantingly dispalyed elbows cause our weak brothers to become warm for our form.
Us holiness ladies are to be under subjection at all time to our heads.
Our heads are to be covered with the power.
There are far to many of our woman tieing up their glory today. Trapping the power in those little pop knots on top of their heads.
Our powerful hair is given us as a covering. When we pop knot our hair we cause our men to fall because we bottle up the power of our hair.
Woman, let your hair hang down as the ancient prohetess Rahab did, so it may lend a hand to those needing to climb up the wall.
It just makes sence. Bless you all. I mean no disrespect.
