I can't personally choose not to believe. Can you? I can choose how to act.

Re: Do you choose what you believe in?
There are many in the Southern Baptist Convention who do not believe in modern day healing from God.
But when they get sick themselves, it is amazing how how fast they start to believe.

What I am trying to say is they are both choices. To believe or not to believe.

I think that's a mis-charaterization. Most believe in healing just not in the apostolic miraculous gift of healing.

I'm running out to be "social"... so only have a moment... but would it be better to pretend to believe and maybe belief would eventually come (or return)? I just have a hard time trying to be something that I'm not...
by "choosing" to believe, then I am pretending to believe... does that make sense?

What I am saying is that I am not choosing the fact that I believe. I've always believed in God, ever since I was a little kid. And I believe moreso now after having been saved. I couldn't choose not to believe because I just do.

I don't think pretending to believe does any good. I think it causes an aggravation of the spirit. I think studying and searching is the best thing to do. But, I don't think advertising your questioning is good. Keeping it under your hat until you are more sure seems reasonable.
