Re: Snooping on a WPF church

Well, I have been duly chastised. I should have kept my mouth shut. In hind sight I always end up thinking it would have been better to leave well enough alone. But I do confess my fault.
Mind you if this sister had been in some kind of sin I would not have said anything. It was done more out of anger/resentment from years of people betraying the trust of my Pastor. There is much more to this story than what was told including telling the Pastor that she wasn't going to so and so's church.
The church was started a block away from a UPC church that this Pastor use to Pastor. He did not communicate in anyway with any of the two UPCI Pastors in town and has actively recruited members from both churches. This sister told our Pastor that she was not going to attend the WPF church.
He could have started the church anywhere in town but started it a block away from our church. When my Pastor says he that this guy has no scruples he is correct.
I am very loyal and passionate about my church and I hate to see people shifting allegience to this other Pastor. I could tell many things about this man to prove my point but I have already spread enough gossip.
There are ethics in ministry whether you admit it or not. This Pastor was under disciplinary action with the UPC and although at one time he was a good Pastor there are many bad things that I could say that happened under his watch. This time I will leave well enogh alone.

Good idea, just talk to God about it. And pray for everyone, yourself included.
