Tells you something about them doesn't it. They have left their first love.
Left their first love??? We first love God not a church body..grrrrrr!

Spouse is one thing, but brethren is another.

Church is usually called family.

The truth of the matter is that you actually agree with my statement. Think back to what I said about what the Church actually is (something with which you agreed). Note that you said, "I do know what THE church is, which is a heck of a lot different than what our society calls 'church.'"

You really need to learn how to read the actual words that are written instead of reading into the words what you want to see.

The question "What kind of vile, wicked, evil thing is in your heart that you would DARE...?" is not the same thing as the statement that someone is "evil, vile and wicked in their heart."

Ok, then you will have no problem with me telling you that you are an arrogant, woman-hating, idiot IN YOUR HEART.

Church..we are the church. Our mission is not to sit on pews and get bored with the same message. I go to church meetings to SUPPORT what we are doing, which is trying to reach the lost, staying "fit" so that I can be always ready for God to use me, ministering to someone OTHER than myself...worshipping and or praising God in unity with others...which is exercising what it means to be one body in Christ, the operation of the gifts of the Spirit to the edifying of the body and supporting the preaching of the word.
I was all that, I was not complaining.
So take off!

So when you started this question and answer thread you were hoping for dishonest beat around the bush answers? I addressed your topic and question directly and to the point with exactly my opinion. Has nothing to do with you personally. I only use you personally near the end to make a point. So take off yourself!

Very often one does not have to go out side to reach the lost....they are often in our own backyards. I have taught many bible studies to folks that just visit our services.

Coop....when church is all about you I can see how hearing everything that needs to be heard might be a reason to attend less services...
What a rude dude. Get a grip.

How is that rude? Im answering your question. If you did not want the answer you should not volunteer the kind of posts you make. I am speaking the truth as I believe it...when going to church is all about you then yes I can see how hearing everything that needs to be heard already might be a reason to attend less....would it be better if I said "be a reason for some"? Get a clue.

What about your family? Your children?
What about my family??

Take them to a Cult? Or take them to Trinity???

Looks like catch 22.

Hey it's YOUR topic you didn't say "Is going to a cult 2 times a month enough?" nor did you ask "is going to a Trinitarian church 2 times a month enough?" You asked a generalized question and answered it. You don't like it Coop then you should stop starting threads where you put yourself in a position to have your feewings hurt

BTW Church should be every day. I believe families need to have church at home between services with prayer and some bible reading. It does not have to consume an hour or even half an hour, but it should be consistant

Zealots!

Got a problem with zeal? Do you even know what zeal means? BTW the first century christians were called zealots and persecuted for it. You know one of the 12 Apostles was called Simon the Zealot?

Paul said
Galatians 4:18
But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only when I am present with you.

Titus 2:14
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

God said
Revelation 3:19
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
